The House Getting There Activities TVR Galleries Disclaimer

The house is an enjoyable 45 minute drive from Angouleme, home of the "Circuit des Remparts", held each year on the third weekend in September (this year being 17th - 19th Sept 2010). So you could combine a visit to the classic car races with a longer holiday a smidge further south..

As TVR owners ourselves (all be it an older one :) - France holds particular attractions. The driving experience (particularly for convertibles) is far superior to that in the UK. Not just the vastly better weather, but the superior major roads and the empty minor ones all set the scene for a pretty special driving experience.

TVR's given their rarity and their fantastic lines do attract quite a lot of interest abroad. Most of it good - expect not just to turn heads, but to have small children chase you down the street in more out of the way places. But some bad - driving a flash car does make you public enemy number one for the traffic police. C'est la vie. Unsurprisingly, to be secure, you should put the roof back on when leaving the car for any period of time.

On booking we can provide a pretty comprehensive checklist of kit to take with you, tips to follow to have the maximum TVR holiday fun and a few pointers as to some of the better back roads nearby for all that wind in the hair driving you'll want to do without upsetting the local Rozza's or community to much.
