So many fun things to do ...

Activity Where Additional Info
Walking All around (0 mins walk) A great deal of beautiful scenery and forests to explore and rummage in.
Rock Climbing Bottom of the hill (5 mins drive) These rocks are on our doorstop - routes vary from V Diff to Extreme (in climbing terms or medium to darned hard in layman speak). Obviously - do not attempt without an experienced climber in your party - there is some tuition available locally.
Swimming The river at Lisle (20 mins drive) Beautiful location - complete with diving boards !
The pool at Bordeilles (20 mins drive) A well appointed town bath.
Cycling We have two adult pedal bikes available at the house.
Canoeing The river Dronne (25 mins drive) Numerous starting points, book the day before. You can do either half day or full day trips.
Driving / Country Side All around. Most roads in the area are pretty twisty. All of them go through beautiful countryside.
Surfing The Atlantic Coast (Biscarosse Plages - 2 hours 30 mins drive) You can hire all the gear you need in Biscarosse Plages and there are some good campsites too (though the town itself is pretty awful). We strongly suggest you go midweek in high season. Good surfing featuring the Atlantic fetch. Try magicseaweed.com for up to the minute surf reports or search google for a forecast. Also the home of the astonishing Dune de Pilat.
Prehistory Les Eyzies de Tayac (2 hours 30 mins drive) Terrible tourist trap - BUT - has some amazing cave paintings (though you may need to book a month ahead to see the real ones) and stalactites. You can also canoe on the Vezere.
Sight Seeing Chateau, churches, towns, countryside, caves etc ... More than you can shake a stick at !
Markets Local towns alternate on different days of the week. You'll have to get up in the mornings to experience these as they've usually packed up by midday ! Good for all your food shopping and more.
Eating Out Seriously good restaurants all over the district. Even the very best aren't that expensive compared to the UK.
Photography Endless Opportunities - natural, architectural etc ... If you're new to photography, visit photo.net for an extensive begginers guide and to share your shots with others.

We will supply detailed information on all these activities when booking.
